Wedding crasher...So last night my familiy and I attended the wedding of a young couple in Doug Philips church. Nothing weird about that, right?Nope!It was a very nice ceremony, and the bride was beautiful.I enjoyed listening to the young man in front of me give a lesson on concealed knife tactics to Honor and Prov who were sitting in the pew in front of me... Very interesting... I learned some stuff.So the wedding was fine, but I sure was dreading the reception... Because by then someone would for sure introduce themselves to me and ask "friend of the bride or groom?" To which i'd have to respond... "Neither... I've never met the family..." See my problem???!!!! Not cool!This whole go-to-a-strangers-wedding-deal happened 2 Sundays ago when someone made the announcement at BCA after church that the congregation was invited. I sat there thinking, "Thats nice..." Then a few days ago I look at the calender and see somoething written in for Friday Jan 16... Sara K's wedding 7pm... and I though "Uh oh..." and come to find out we're going. Which is fine... apparently thats what people do around here... They all go to everything! So anyways... At the reception, I tried to stay out of the way of anyone who would ask me the dreaded "which side" question... And fairly succeeded! I met only one girl. But I still didn't like it... You should've seen her face... "Neither?"...But anyways there was something odd I noticed... The reception had these really nice plates and cups that were plastic but looked like china... And I thought, there's no way we're supposed to throw these away!!!! So I looked for signs or bins with instructions.. .But found none.. .So I threw away my plate...(You can start laughing now...)Then I see my friend Jillian manning the coffee /hot chocolate table and so I go over there to talk to herAs we are talking this guy comes up and throws away his plate in the trash can. Jill suddenly says "Oh no! are they throwing away the plates???!!!" By then my suspiscions were confermed and I said "yes ma'am..." And so began a long evening of dumpster diving for me...I guarded one can in the busiest area... And Trina made rounds and collected from me. So I stood there for two hours remarking in my head the number of dumb people in the world. there I was standing in front of the garbage can with a stack of used plates, and people would look at me, look at there plate then throw it in the can... It was so dumb, it was almost funny!So I'd lean over and fish it out...HA! I just remembered somethign else! later in the evening, I noticed a "cool" kid coming towards me with the intention of throwing away his balled up napkin. I'd seen him a few times swaggering about, and thought to myself "I wish something would happen to him..." (evil grins) Well, it happened! There was this quiet little mexican couple standing somewhat in front of me talking, and they were between the kid and his target the garbage can...Guess what the dind-dong did... He swaggers over and pitches the napkin wad... right at the lady's face.OOOOOOOO! you should've seen his face

... I almost laughed! In fact I probably turned several colors trying to be composed. He muttered some apolgies and quickly left. He didn't come by again... But it sure was the high-light of the evening for me!

I was still smirking during the van ride home

Oh! and the onyl mean thing I did was ask Joeseph Atherton and his friend who had been helping take down the reception docorations if he "Needed a magnet?" After they spilled a huge container of pins all over the floor... He looked so hopeful.. .and I had to tell him "I don't have one..."
laters...Annick is alive and breathing...Sorry for pretty much dropping off the face of the earth my people, But I've had a crazy fun hilarious week! We attended the San Antonio Independant Christian Film Festival, had our fake Christmas, and also had our first "stay over guest"! And if my computer would just cooperate, I'd post pictures... Augh.... Sometimes I hate my life...

Aha! there we go! Tada! our first foreign visitors to our house!! the
Alessio family startled us by magically appearing at Doug Phillips church...
We knew that they were coming to TX for the film festival, but had no idea that they would
magically appear at church!!!!!!!!

Annick almost cried for joy, but didn't....

I am so happy to see my beloved friends once again!

Why I have fallen in love with Texas.... Simply breathtaking!

The day before we left MI, this was taken in whats left of our girls room... For some reason a bunch of guys ended up in there...lol And we were all helping to carry this board from what was left of my bunk bed... Strange story about my bed there... But anyways...

The Last supper... Spent sitting on the floor in the dining room with our Thompsons...
Miss them so... By that time, Annick was a mess mentally, physically & emotionally...
